Pregnant 1st Trimester (No Iron/Less Nausea)

Provider recommended Babykixx prenatal vitamin for moms. With 4,000IU of Vitamin D3 and 300mg of Omega 3s and 150 mcg of Iodine (potassium iodide), this formulation should be taken with a high calcium diet. We recommend that mom's mix their daily vitamin pouch with a dairy-rich product containing milk or yogurt.  This would be delicious on oatmeal with a cup of milk or on a cup of cottage cheese. A cup of yogurt is always a great pairing.

This formulation does not contain Iron to minimize 1st-trimester nausea. Taking your iron supplement in the second trimester gives your body 90 days of Iron boost to affect the development of red blood cells which takes months not days.  Anemia of pregnancy and Iron Deficiency Anemia are two common conditions related to pregnancy that Iron supplements can help minimize. Here's some information about this issue that might be useful.
